Quintet Cellars is a bonded winery producing premium Oregon Pinot Noir. We produce limited quantities of outstanding wine using traditional winemaking materials and methods. Quintet first appeared on the Oregon wine scene with the release of its 2012 Pinot Noir. Soon after, Quintet became one of eleven founding wineries to establish the Ribbon Ridge Winegrowers Association.
Then in 2014, critical recognition followed with a review of our 2012 Pinot Noir, receiving 91pts from Wine Spectator and a gold medal at the Oregon Wine Awards. The following year, Quintet’s 2013 vintage of Pinot Noir garnered a Best of Show and a Double Gold Award at the Oregon Wine Awards. Most recently, in its 2016 fall issue, our 2013 “Ribbon Ridge Vineyard” Pinot Noir received a 91pt rating from Burghound and was picked for the “select list” in its trade publication and wine buying guide. Eight Oregon Wineries made the list.
Burghound describes Quintet’s offering this way:
“2013 Pinot Noir”— Ribbon Ridge Vineyard: (from a 9-acre vineyard, 150 cases, 13.6%). An exceptionally pretty if notably restrained nose features notes of essence of cherry, raspberry and strawberry along with discreet spice and rose petal nuances. The palate impression matches the elegance of the nose as the lighter weight, but beautiful focused flavors possess a lovely sense of delineation before culminating in a dusty and mildly austere, but balanced finale. This sneaky long effort is not a seductive or especially generous wine, though neither is it lean. It should most please those who enjoy a certain amount of reserve in their pinot, 91/2019+.
Due to our small production, our Pinot Noir is primarily distributed in the Northwest. Our wine sales are supported by Quintet’s Pinot Bud wine club members and our trade relationships. In Oregon wine country our wines can be found most notably at the Jory Restaurant, located in the Allison Hotel, and Recipe, both establishments are situated in the City of Newburg.
In McMinnville our wine is on the list at the Barberry. Most recently our wine was added to the wine list at El Gaucho in downtown Portland. If you are traveling by air our wine can be found at Capers Café behind security at PDX. In Seattle find us at Barolo. When traveling to Sun Valley Idaho we can be found at Enoteca and The Sun Valley Wine Company. These establishment are considered wine centric and host excellent selections of fine wine and great Oregon Pinot Noir. If you are unable to make it to any of these establishments, you may order our Pinot Noir directly from this website.
